For over 20 years, people of all ages have been leaving notes on the shore of Lake Harriet, behind a wee door in the hollow of a tree for and elf named mr. little guy. And for 20 years their notes have been answered. Each year 1,500 to 2,000 people write to say hello, seek advice and ask for their wishes to come true. Every letter ends with "i believe in you."

2016 is the 22nd year of the Lake Harriet Elf Door
The door is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day (give or take)
During the rest of the year writers may send letters to:

Each season mlg answers between 1,500 and 2,000 humans
Letters are left in the tree printed on sliver paper in teeny tiny type
His name is thom and lives with my wife, martha, a great elf and their daughter alta lucia, who is a princess elf
